System 7 are one of the very few techno-based dance music acts who can make a truly credible live performance. And in techno music this about as live as it gets

System 7’s live style powerfully shows their special position on the dance music genre map, occupying a space where progressive house, techno and psy-trance meet. Having perfected their live techno technique over a number of years System 7’s Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy use a sophisticated blend of programmed beats, Miquette’s live keyboards and Steve’s live psychedelic guitar to send audiences into dance delirium. They can be consistently relied upon to rock the house at regular live events in the UK, Europe, Japan, Australia, Mexico and elsewhere around the globe.

Lovingly recorded by the late and much lamented Japanese sound engineering legend Shiro Ono in a totally rammed Tokyo Liquid Room in August 2002, the Live Transmissions CD captures the magic of a unique live techno event. From the beguiling dreamy opening of ‘Fay Deau Deau’, System 7 take us on a journey with repeated peaks of intensity, culminating in their classic tracks ‘Alphawave’ and ‘Hangar 84’.

Live Transmissions has existed up to now only as a very limited promo, but it has proved so residually popular that A-Wave Records have decided to give it a full international release. Street date is set for April 17th 2006.

As one System 7 fan put it:- “...Wait for ‘High Plains Drifter (Voyager)! - Seems one of those sets where you think it's finished and peaked as much as it possibly could halfway through only to do it all again - the best! ...”
