The latest from composer/producer genius and virtuoso guitarist KALI is an amazing groundbreaking masterpiece of beautiful compositions for traditional instruments playing dance-floor styled jams. From beginning to end each carefully crafted journey builds and flows with florid guitars, thick basses, crystal clear drums and lots of rich sampling and analog synthesizers. What is remarkable is how the cinematic drama and pathos of harmony and counterpoint can fit so naturally within BPM conscious house and trance structures. The bright clarity and unabashed joyousness of "Gelatin Coated" and "Dose 1 or 2 pills" express a wonderful feel good vibe while "No. 284" and "100" get downright tribal with wild percussion and buzzing Moog basses. The first single "Pills" features a delicious sexual interplay between an aggressive and decidedly male electric guitar, and a languid female voice, getting quite erotic as the two dance together. The whole album creates a dramatic journey through ethereal wonderlands of delicious sounds and textures.

Kali’s latest offering is the product of his live electronica ensemble. Originally known as “Drink & Food” and now flaying under his own banner as KALI, this group of amazing musicians have made a passionate dedication to playing modern dance-floor styles as an ensemble. Their rare live sets of House, Trance, and Drum & Bass, mixed live, with plenty of old school real time DUB, leave audiences amazed and bewildered. Kali, “One day it occurred to me that there were things a DJ could do that were so much better than what a band does and yet the opposite was also true. I wanted to build an ensemble of players and machines which together could provide the hypnotic, powerful, and seamless transcendence of a really good DJ experience while also having the excitement and personality you get from a group of dynamic performers. Thus I embarked on my journey to create a really dramatically compelling dance ensemble which embraces modern styles.
